Awesome Dude at Marina Saves his Home

Link to a terrific interview, where Marshall Harris of Key West describes his attitude about protecting his property. "Not the smartest thing to do". I don't know, Marshall. Seems pretty smart to me. Also, can we borrow your metal detector? Paul and I found no CQR anchor when we went out into Broad Creek to retrieve Delphine. Seems a sailboat got tangled in one of three anchors that Paul and Piper had positioned and chafed through the line. I know you hate CQR's, Marshall, but that metal detector you mentioned when we met you might do it. How else can we find the anchor, chain and line?

Click link below to meet Marshall.

I own a Bolger AS29 that was on land at Mccotters. I have been on the west coast for 2 weeks and have no idea if the boat has survived. Any information would be appreciated

I saw your blue boat at McCotter's and it was still upon jackstands in it's normal location very near the lift dock.

We lived aboard at the end of the south dock. (Shadow Drag N). Capt. went out for storm. Lost 45# Manson Supreme anchor with 100' chain near red marker #8 near Maul's Pt. if anyone happens to come across. We're in a bit of a pickle. Boat drifted (sped actually...on her side....with captain aboard) to 8 mi. out in sound. Also lost 8' walker bay dinghy same spot as anchor. if anyone comes across please contact 252-402-2103 (Mark). Thanks so much.

I hope you find your equipment. I'm sure you made the right choice anchoring out, Captain. Did you have one anchor only?

Had two anchors but the best one was the supreme. The danforth is still in the sound around the area the USCG hauled me in from. The Danforth finally caught around 10 pm that night. Gave coordinates to a friend and hoping he can find it if he goes out over the weekend.
